Attracive Places
Wat Narainkaram : Located at Moo 3 Leh sub-district, about 14 kilometers from A. Kaphong’s office, along with highway route No. 401 (Takuapa-Suratthai) then turn right on a byroad for 2kilometers. It is the establishment of Sathan Deva Naraiporn installed graven image of Naraya, Laksana, and Sida. These graven image are very important to the history of Muang “Takola” (orginal name of Muang Takuapa) and the expansion of Indian cultural in this region.
Especially Sida graven image, it is the real one, carved with “Tab Lam” stone or slate stone, 125 centimeters high, 77 centimeters in width (the rest 2 graven image are established at National Museum, A. Thalang, Phuket). This villagers museum also exhibits old articles, antiques, and included stone inscriptions of 1,300 – 1,400 years old which discovered on the top of Khao Liang.
Sri Phang Nga National Park : The government set up the plot of land in the area of Nom sao mountain range in khura, Maenang Khao, Bangwan sub-districts, A.Khuraburi and Bang-naisi sub-district, A.Takuapa, Phang Nga province to be a national park, It declared in the govermment gazette on April 16, 1988 that an area of 153,800 rais or 246.08 sq km in a range paraller to the Andaman seashore from north to south would contain virgin forests for wildlife sanctuaries. From the park originated many streams, which created distinguished natural spots such as waterfalls, cliffs, beautiful woods, and the sources of the rivers khlong khuod, khlong plaek-sai, khlong Bangdaend, Kholng Lak-khet and kholng bangyai. The park included places for natural Tourism, Tam Naung waterfall ,tone tonsai waterfall, tone tontoei etc.
Mu Ko Similan National Park : has been rated first by the U. S. publication Skin Diving of the top ten dive sites in the world. The Similan Islands in the heart of the Andaman Sea are indeed unparelled in their exotic beauty. If planning a visit, keep in mind that anytime between December to April is recommended, with the best month being March, because the monsoons are over and the water is clear.
The national park is established in 1982 and located in Ko Phrathong Sub-distreict, Khuraburi District, Phang-nga Province and covers 128 square kilometers, 80,000 rais, of area, 14 square kilometers of which is land composed of all the islands put together. Located along the western coastline of the Andaman Sea and in the Indian Ocean, rest these nine exotic granite islands created by upwellings of hot magma during the Teritiary-Cretaceous Period some 65 million years ago, then smoothed by glacial ice and the wave action of the sea.
Similan is really the Malaysian word for nine, as there are nine islands in the Similan group: Ko Bangu, Ko Similan, Hin Huwagralok, Ko Payu, Ko Ha, Ko Hok, Ko Miang, Ko Payan, Ko Payang, and Ko Huyong.
In 1998, the park boundary was expanded to cover Ko Tachai which is located further north of Ko Bon and the Similan group. Then the park area becomes 140 square kilometers.

Welcome To Phang Nga : Phang Nga area and town seem to have become tourist attractions vying with their neighboring provinces.
